Our Blue September Breakfast was awesome and we managed to raise $200 for Prostate Cancer. Thanks to Parakai Springs and Te Awaroa Cafe and Bar for their support. The delicious food was baked by one of our team members and it went down very well. Blue September is an awareness campaign for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand. After all these cakes and pies we actually managed to do a lot of skydiving!
Thanks to all of our volunteers who came to 'Keep NZ Beautiful'! We picked up rubbish around the Parakai area as part of Clean Up Week. It's so important that we keep our local community clean and every little bit of effort helps. It's also Conservation Week and this year marks 50 years of Conservation Week which is run by DOC, to encourage people to take care of nature.
Skydive Auckland are going blue and hosting a breakfast to raise money for this cause. We'll have sweet and savoury bites, lots of coffee and hopefully some blue skies too. It all kicks off from 9am on Saturday 14 September at Skydive Auckland (Parakai). We'll donate 10% of the price of every directly booked tandem skydive taken during the event. Our friends at Parakai Springs are donating half price day passes to anyone who joins in so come and get involved!
